Thinking about joining 57th
Our Scouts meet every Thursday from 5.30pm to 7.30pm and our Cubs meet every Monday from 5.30pm to 7.00pm (during the school term only) at our Scout Hall in Hinton Grove Virginia.
A phone call or email to the Troop Scouter or Pack Scouter before attending the first meeting is appreciated, and you can ask any questions you may have about the Cub and Scout programs.
A parent/guardian must accompany the new Cub/Scout to their first meeting as the there is an indemnity form that needs to be signed before anyone can take part in any activities.
Scouts also have the following publications available for information for new recruits, which the parents should also read.
We recommend that both parents and potential Cubs & Scouts read the Seamanship Manual, which will give you a fair idea of what goes on while sailing. The emphasis at 57th Trafalgar is SAFETY FIRST and not FIRST AID, and it is essential that scouts are familiar with the terminology and parts of a boat so that they can carry out all instructions given to them while sailing.
